Day1 Wake Demo Day with Northwest Riders Clothing Company & Grizzly Sports
We’re teaming up with the good folks at Northwest Riders Clothing Company and Grizzly Sports to bring you a Demo Day on the North End of Lake Washington, Saturday October 13th 2012. While we’re stoked to share our products and the wakesurf experience, our real focus here is to raise donations in support of the “Friends of Justine Palmer Fund” to help Justine and RV Palmer (Grizzly Sports Owners) with their medical expenses as Justine fights cancer.
The Day1 Wake and Northwest Riders boats will be loaded with Day1 Boards and life jackets and we’ll run three sets of 90 minute sessions placing up to six riders in each boat. Beginner to Advanced, all are welcome! Head over to our Facebook Events page and sign up for one of the three spots (10am-11:30am, 11:30am-1pm, and 1pm-2:30pm) and head on down to Logboom Park and meet us on the dock. Please arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of your time slot and be ready to have a great session – RAIN or SHINE – it’s on!

Event info as posted by host Bow-Lake Watersports:
This year the INT state championships will be taking place at Bow Lake. On Saturday the 18th, we will be hosting a night time Rail Jam featuring some of the area’s best rail riders. The event consists of the rail jam taking place under the stadium lights with judging based on a “five point per hit” scale. Bow Lake’s course has five features where riders will have two laps and 2 falls per round. 5 Riders will advance to the 2nd round and the two top scorers will advance to the finals in a head to head battle on one rail.
Through out the event, a canvas created from 12 Hyperlite wakeboards will be graffitied by two local artists. Following the rail jam, the mural will be divided and raffled off to the crowd. This event will also include a DJ spinning live music, catering provided by the WWU Waterski Team, and drinks provided by Seattle’s Redhook Brewery, Challenger Ridge Winery and Monster Energy.
The De-Railed Rail Jam will begin at 8pm and go until around 11pm. It will be $15 per rider and you can call and RSVP with Justin Huerter at 360-840-3411. Come out to Bow Lake on August 18th and hit some rails… or get De-Railed!
